Baltimore native Bandhunta Izzy has been on the rise for the last few years, and there’s nowhere to go now, but up. At age 21, the “In Love Wit da Trap” rapper has established himself and his trademark style, gaining attention with loose tracks and his unique takes on popular beats.
His sheer talent and lyrical prowess landed him a deal with Universal’s Republic Records in May of last year. Earlier this year, he dropped his debut mixtape Code Blue (mixed by Alex Tumay who has worked with Young Thug and 21 Savage), giving listeners a more introspective and deliberate project that went a little deeper.
With a project rooted in such personal truths, we had to hook him up to our lie detector test and see how the rapper stacked up on topics like whether or not Gucci Mane or Yo Gotti was a better rapper.
“Ooh,” Izzy says, shaking his head. “It depends because it’s like I grew up on both of them. But rapper wise?”
Watch the full video to see how he really feels about that, if he would give fellow Lie Detector G Herbo a hug, and whether or not he would collaborate with his girlfriend, and daughter of T.I. and Tiny, Zonnique.
