Afrojack Does ASMR, Talks Drawing, Anime, and Doing What You Love

Afrojack is probably one of the most successful and well known global DJs today. An EDM festival doesn’t feel complete if it doesn’t have the Grammy-winning Dutch artist, who frequents Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival, and Coachella, as a headliner. While the “Dirty Sexy Money” artist comes from the world of dance and electronic music, he’s had a lot of crossover success, working with artists like Beyoncé, Charli XCX,French Montana, Ty Dolla $ign, David Guetta, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, and others.

Even while he’s breaking boundaries, Afrojack is committed to helping aspiring artists hone their talent and craft. As the founder and head of his own record label Wall Recordings, he’s worked with up-and-coming DJs and even rappers and singers—and he’s even held his own talent search competition, all in the name of finding and promoting new talent. So it’s probably not surprising that Afrojack is a pretty encouraging guy when it comes to finding your own path.

“People will always try to put you in positions where you do shit you don’t want to do, and then they claim it’s supposed to be that way,” he told Fuse. “Nothing is supposed to be any way. I’m here doing a silent interview whispering, drawing.”

The DJ stopped by Fuse to try his hand at ASMR, and in our humble opinion, he might have found another calling. Watch Afrojack make ASMR magic playing jacks, drawing, and with water—and a combination of the three.
