#TBT 2013: Future Talks 'Honest' Album Title Change

Currently making his presence known on the Billboard Hot 100, Future has extended his catalogue from guest features to chart-topping albums in just a few years.

Back in 2013, the Atlanta native spoke to Fuse about Honest, his forthcoming sophomore studio LP that received a last minute title change. Originally named Future Hendrix after his alter ego, the title didn't accurately reflect the rapper's desire to connect more with this fans.

"I wanted my fans to grow with me, understand me a little more," Future explained, stressing his focus on capturing his life at that moment. "[The title] just gravitated toward me at the time, and I was just reflecting on it, thinking about it, waking up to it."
