"'Blessings' is a song that I wrote about counting the blessings that we have in our life and appreciating them," he explains. "If you woke up this morning, before you complain, be grateful you got breath to complain with."
Featuring Ty Dolla $ign, the track embodies what Lecrae calls his own unique blend of "righteous and ratchet." The Houston native firmly believes that faith and hip-hop can successfully coexist within music.
"It draws people from both sides to this middle lane where they realize it's not exclusive to either culture," he says.
