#TBT 2007: Jordin Sparks Talks Failing Her 'American Idol' Audition

Back in 2007, Jordin Sparks made history as the youngest person to ever win American Idol. Just 17 years old at the time, the singer went on to release a platinum album and snag a Grammy nomination.

In a throwback interview with Fuse, Sparks recalled how inspiring it was to watch Kelly Clarkson light up the stage. "I was like, 'Mom, I wanna do that. I wanna be able to sing on a big stage in front of tons of people and be successful,'" she said.
