With the release of new single "Rise N Shine," Eva Shaw is moving away from the club-ready dance music that's earned the model-turned-DJ millions of plays on Spotify and Soundcloud. The radio-friendly cut features vocals from singer-songwriter-producer Poo Bear (who most notably worked on Justin Bieber's "Where Are Ü Now" and "What Do You Mean?") and is the first time Shaw has ventured into Top 40 world.
"Since I was teenager, I was making more instrumental, club music. This was the first song I went out of my comfort zone and worked with a singer and writer, which is Poo Bear, so it's a little different than my other music. I haven't really worked with a singer in the studio before."
Listen to "Rise N Shine" below, which is streaming exclusively on Spotify now and will be everywhere next Friday, July 29.
Eva adds that her newfound love for singer collaborations is "definitely a new direction I want to keep going in" with the Canadian-Dutch DJ telling us she's been in the studio with the likes of Sean Paul and Shaggy recently.
