If you recently hopped aboard the Nico and Vinz wagon, you might not know that the Norwegian breakout stars were formerly known as Envy. After a short stint under the popular title, they opted for a much-needed name change.
"At some point, I guess we realized that there were too many Envys in the world," Vinz explained. "Computers called Envy, Japanese rock bands named Envy, corporations, stores and everything. We thought, 'You know what? Let's just make it easy for people and have something that's more unique and original.'"
The switch to "Nico & Vinz" even showed off the duo's knack for wordplay.
