Get an Inside Look at 50 Cent's New TV Series 'Power'

It's a big week for 50 Cent: His majorly anticipated independent release Animal Ambition dropped, he reunited with G-Unit crew and the new TV series he executive produced premieres Saturday on Starz.

Power follows a New York nightclub owner/drug kingpin who tries to balance the two lives, but finds trouble when he attempts to leave the illegal side of his lifestyle. "It's about everyone trying to be at the top," Fiddy says.

Interviews with the Power cast reveal the Queens MC as a hands-on exec to the series. "He's been incredibly accessible and generous," says actor Joseph Sikora, who plays Tommy. "Even at the table reads—which he's attended all of them—he'll say something like, 'Yo, think about this.' Just to plant the seeds."

The "Smoke" rapper even appears in four episodes.

"The work that Curtis Jackson, the actor, has put into this show is incredible," says director Courtney Kemp Agboh. "In fact, I'm not sure if anyone could have played this part because we created it together. We made something for him."
