Back when Miley Cyrus couldn't stop and wouldn't stop, she didn't have a care in the world. But in her new video "Wrecking Ball," the second single from her upcoming album Bangerz, the ex-Disney starlet has drastically changed her tune. Instead of whistling while she twerks, Miley's writhing naked on a giant wrecking ball and crying actual tears.
"Wrecking Ball" is a piano-driven ballad about heartache, and the video is a heavy-handed metaphor about vulnerability. Miley perches naked on a literal wrecking ball (because she's vulnerable, duh) and cries to the camera about being abandoned. But then there's the part when she starts making out with a sledgehammer, which should have been edited out of the video, let's be honest.
"Wrecking Ball" proves once again that Hannah Montana is 100 percent dead forever, and that Miley Cyrus is either extremely sexually frustrated or just really likes sticking her tongue in, on and around random things. The jury is still out.
