In the lyric video for Lady Gaga's "Applause," Mother Monster partied down with New York drag queens, some of the select people on this earth who can sing "I live for the applause" with a straight face and feel no shame.
Now, while Gaga hits Times Square for Good Morning America, she's unveiled the official music video for "Applause." This cinematic clip finds moody black and white footage clashing head-on with explosions of color that smear across Gaga's face and the screen. It’s a cinematic magic show, with LG rising out of a hat and a morphing into a golden goose (a particularly frightening image that occurs halfway through the video).
It's visually stunning and unrepentantly odd. We're glad Gaga is back.
