Keenan Cahill has scored hundreds of millions of YouTube views with his hilarious lip-sync videos and clips jamming out with 50 Cent, David Guetta and Justin Bieber. But now the Illinois native is creating music all his own with his debut single "Hands Up."
"I wanted to put a song out there to show people that I'm capable of not just being a lip-syncer on YouTube," Cahill tells Fuse. "I thought, 'If I can sing, then why not do my own music and do what I've always wanted to do?'"
For "Hands Up" he teamed with Electrovamp, two Welsh sisters, and "we've got a lot of great feedback from the industry and fans on YouTube. It's a very clubby, happy song," he adds. "It's being played a lot in the clubs, so you know it's a very dancey song."
Cahill also recalls his visit with 50 Cent, who rolled up in a bullet proof Rolls Royce. "The doors went up and all of a sudden two security guards went in, the doors went down and he rolled off. It was pretty cool."
