FUSE TV - FAQ: Uber at Fuse Music Week

During Fuse Music Week, Fuse is partnering with Uber car services to provide free rides home (up to $50 in value) each night to the first 50 people to check into the venue/ event on foursquare.

What is Uber?

Uber is an on-demand car service that allows consumers to request a luxury vehicle from anywhere at any time.  Rides can be requested using the iPhone and Android apps or from m.uber.com.

What is foursquare?

Foursquare is a free smartphone app that helps users make the most of where they are by sharing and saving the places they visit. “Checking in” to a venue is basically a way of letting friends you’re connected with on Facebook and Twitter know you’ve been somewhere.  The app registers your location and “checking in” to that location can unlock specials and discounts.

How do I get a free ride?

To be eligible for the free ride from Uber (up to $50 in value), show attendees must check in to the venue or show on foursquare.

How do I know if I'm one of the first 50?

The ‘winners’ of the 50 free rides will be notified immediately with special messaging within the foursquare application.

I'm a winner ... how do I claim my ride?

The ‘unlock’ screen in foursquare will appear if someone is a ‘winner’, and this screen will have 1) a unique code and 2) a link to the Uber mobile application.  The code should be entered into the Uber mobile app to claim the ride.  Although the free ride is valid for one week after check-in, the ‘unlock’ screen will be inaccessible after 3 hours, so please encourage users to copy down their codes.  Thank you!
