Earlier this year the hip hop world was rocked by the tragic and sudden death of Mac Miller, a young, brilliant lyricist, whose infectious flows and raw and honest lyrics won him fans across genres. With 12 mixtapes and 5 studio albums, Mac’s music cut through the red tape and the fluff, connecting directly with his listeners and creating a uniquely intimate relationship between them. Simply put, listening to a Mac Miller song is like talking to a friend. His music makes us feel seen and understood.
So on what would have been the rapper’s 27th birthday, we’re paying homage and revisiting our favorite videos from the late artist. R.I.P., Mac. We miss you.
Here's something we call an oldie but goodie. Mac dropped his fifth mixtape "The Best Day Ever" in 2011 on DatPiff with an accompanying video. The music video featured nostalgic home videos including one of baby Mac rapping the Rapper's Delight by the iconic rap group, Sugarhill Gang.
