Coldplay likened their seven-albums-and-out retirement plan to J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter arc, and just like Rowling, they’re not actually ending it at all. On Thursday, the English rock heroes set a June 2 release date for their Kaleidoscope EP, which was announced in November.
The release will feature today’s new song, “Hypnotised,” as well as the new Chainsmokers collaboration “Something Just Like This.” Rolling Stone notes that one broke YouTube’s 24-hour streaming record by notching 9 million views.
