Prophets of Rage's Toronto concert got an even bigger jolt of energy last night, as Dave Grohl made a surprise appearance on stage. Instead of playing their own tunes, the rockers decided to jam out to a cover of MC5's “Kick Out the Jams.”
The Foo Fighters frontman entered during the concert's encore, and sung lead on the rowdy and energetic 1969 tune while he and Tom Morello ripped through their electric guitars. Soon after the performance, Grohl blew kisses to the crowd as he exited the stage.
Prophets of Rage are currently in the middle of their summer tour, which wraps up on Oct. 16 in Chula Vista, CA. The supergroup (composed of Chuck D, B-Real and members of Rage Against The Machine) also dropped new track “No Sleep Til Cleveland" ahead of their debut EP's release today (Aug. 25).
