Could Fifth Harmony’s ‘Work From Home’ Become Their First Top 10 Hit?

Fifth Harmony’s entrancing new single “Work From Home,” featuring Ty Dolla $ign, is off to an extremely hot start, and could very well become the girl group’s first Top 10 hit on the Hot 100 chart.

The lead single from upcoming sophomore album 7/27 launched across the globe on Friday (Feb. 26), and is firing on all cylinders. On YouTube, the official video has passed 1 million views in less than 12 hours; on iTunes, the song sits at No. 3 on the Top Songs chart; and the girls gave “Work From Home” a splashy radio premiere on Friday’s episode of the Elvis Duran Show. The song also launched on all streaming platforms on Friday.

The combination of streaming numbers, YouTube hits, early radio play and digital downloads could propel “Work From Home” to a Top 10 debut on the Hot 100 chart, especially since the Friday launch allows for a full charting week. Fifth Harmony very nearly cracked the Top 10 with “Worth It,” which spent weeks ruling Top 40 radio last summer but topped out at No. 12 on the tally.

We’ll know the official debut on Monday, Mar. 7. 7/27, 5H’s follow-up to last year’s Reflection, is due out on May 20.
