Last week, Tool teased a January 2016 tour featuring "a large heptagram on a complexly lit stage where four performers were dwarfed by dramatic video projections." Today, we've got dates.

"Those faint glimpses of TOOL SHOWS that I recently perceived in the scrying mirror can now be considered official," reads a post on the band's site, which is a real trip to the Angelfire-y, GeoCities-tastic 1990s, if you've never been. "Indeed, something wicked your way comes...THE UNPARALLELED SONIC AND VISUAL EXPERIENCE OF TOOL LIVE."

Blabbermouth reports that Primus and 3TEETH will be the openers.

Without further pomp, here are the Tool 2016 tour dates:

1/9 – San Diego, CA @ Viejas Arena
1/13 – San Antonio, TX @ AT&T Center
1/16 – Tulsa, OK @ BOK Center
1/17 – Grand Prairie, TX @ Verizon Theatre
1/19 – Southaven, MS @ Landers Center
1/23 – Nashville, TN @ Bridgestone Arena
1/25 – Atlanta, GA @ Infinite Energy Center
1/26 – Charlotte, NC @ Bojangles Coliseum

The announcement concludes with a call to "check back soon for more info." Tickets go on sale Friday, Nov. 20; links are handy at the site.

Tool's last album was 2006's 10,000 Days, their fourth full-length since debuting in 1992 with the Opiate EP. On Halloween, they did a show in Tempe, Arizona dressed as Led Zeppelin. If you're looking for a possible preview of what to expect from these new concerts, check out the setlist.
