Janet Jackson officially kicks off her musical comeback by revealing her first new single in seven years, "No Sleeep" (not a typo FYI, Janet loves playing around with correct spelling—her last album Discipline included song titles like "Greatest X," "Luv," "Can't B Good" and "Never Letchu Go").
Over lush synthesizers, a subtle organ part and a crackling beat, Janet brings her signature-smooth croons and harmonies to a track that sounds like it could have been a hit in the '90s, but still sounds fresh for 2015. Of course, there's a slew of the diva's classic nasty lyrics—"You better get ready my king, 'cause I'm gonna be the queen of insomnia"—making this feel like the perfect comeback single to remind everyone why Janet Jackson still rules.
