While Sia's broken into the Top 40 realm with her brilliant melancholy singles ("Chandelier") and writing skills ("Diamonds," "Perfume"), today we find ourselves listening to an entirely new side of the Australian chanteuse—a super-happy one.
For the upcoming Annie remake being executive produced by Jay Z, Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith, Sia covered "You're Never Fully Dressed Without a Smile," a peppy, jazzy tune heard in the original 1977 musical. But in this new version, Sia reworks the sound with a semi-tribal synth beat and then updates the lyrics to namedrop designer brands and today's lingo.
