Catch a glimpse of what the Foo Fighters and Sonic Highways have in store above, and be sure to tune in on HBO October 17 when the miniseries takes over the network's 11pm time slot.
Original Story: HBO released the title and teaser trailer for the Foo Fighters' upcoming series, Sonic Highways, and Dave Grohl drops a serious mission statement in less than 30 seconds.
Set to be a "musical map of America," Grohl and the Foos traverse the country over the course of Sonic Highways, recording their upcoming eighth record in a handful of different studios in different states. The secret show they played in New Orleans earlier this month was filmed in part for the show, and musicians from each location they visit will factor into the Foo Fighters next musical endeavor. "You can tie all of these people and places together with these Sonic Highways. This is a musical map of America."
No premiere date has been released for Sonic Highways, so watch this space for series updates.
