Remember Selena on the 21st Anniversary of Her Death With This Playlist
Twenty-one years ago today, Latin superstar Selena was murdered by an obsessive fan in a hotel room in her native Corpus Christi, TX. She was 23 years old.
The singer was on the cusp of superstardom. She'd recently recorded her first English language album, Dreaming of You, which led Selena to become the first Latin female to score a No. 1 album and the first Tejano singer to win a GRAMMY. She already had a series of No. 1 U.S. Latin hits including "Amor Prohibido," "Como La Flor," "No Me Queda Más," and of course, "Bidi Bidi Bom Bom."
