Miley Cyrus Postpones Remaining Dates on Bangerz Tour
As we reported last week Miley Cyrus had to postpone a couple of tour dates due to "an extreme allergic reaction to" the antibiotic Cephalexin. Now it seems her healing process will take longer than originally anticipated and is forced to postpone the rest of her Bangerz Tour, according to the Associated Press.
Her tour is scheduled to resume in August with a show in Uniondale, NY. The new tour includes seven rescheduled shows and will also include two additional stops. Her European leg of the tour is still scheduled to kick off May 2 in Amsterdam. Existing tickets will be honored at the new date.
Here’s some background on how this illness spiraled into a lengthy hospital stay: On April 8 the "Adore You" singer postponed her Charlotte, NC, show due to a flu. She then got an allergic reaction after taking antibiotics for the illness. She tweeted: "mizzzzzeraaabbblleeee" in the hospital and that's she's "meant to be onstage performing for y'all.... not laying in a hospital bed,” followed by a ton of crying cat emojis.
On April 17 she tweeted an official press release following her hospitalization.
Rest up, Miley!
