As First Lady, Michelle Obama often plays the role of America's mother, encouraging us to do things like eat right and exercise. This also means she fields a lot of questions like one from Univision Radio host Enrique Santos, who asked her what she would tell embattled pop star Justin Bieber.
Her response was measured. “I would pull him close. You know, I don’t know if it would be advice as much as action,” she said. “I would be very present in his life right now. And I would be probably with him a good chunk of the time, just there to talk, to figure out what’s going on in his head, to figure out who’s in his life and who’s not, you know.”
It's not bad advice for a pop star who lives a whirlwind life, one that —as ex-Bieber bodyguard Kenny Hamilton explained to Fuse—can involve armed protection. Bieber was recently taken on what was believed to be an intervention of sorts attended by father figures like Scooter Braun and Usher, but he has his friends, and those friends are loyal.
