Well, this is a bummer. Big Boi has officially shut down rumors that OutKast will create a new album to coincide with their upcoming reunion tour.
When asked about a new 'Kast album by Revolt, he responded, "No, no, no."
After that emphatic denial, he expounded: "We’re just doing the tour only, just for the fans. That's all it is, just the tour."
On one hand, it's extremely depressing news for fans who have been dying for new OutKast material (or, you know, Andre 3000's solo debut). But then again, solo Big Boi did just give us this jaw-dropping, killer track with B.o.B and Wavves, so maybe life without new OutKast won't be entirely unbearable.
Plus, they are playing 10 million (about 40) shows in 2014.
