Pharrell Unveils First "24-Hour Music Video" for "Happy"
For those with 24 hours to kill (college students, freelancers in between projects, meth addicts waiting for their next score), Pharrell has released the video for "Happy" in what is being dubbed the "first 24-hour music video."
With the corpse of Bob Dylan's groundbreaking "Like a Rolling Stone" video not yet cold, Pharrell tries to reinvent interactive videos with a full day's worth of footage set to the producer/singer's buoyant, uptempo gospel-funk track.
Like Dylan's video, you can "channel-surf" through different videos of people dancing, including Pharrell jumping around various locales such as Los Angeles' Union Station and a church. Jimmy Kimmel, Steve Carell, Magic Johnson, Tyler, the Creator, Earl Sweatshirt, Miranda Cosgrove and Kelly Osborne all make cameos.
A giant clock on the screen also allows you to skip to any point in the 24-hour cycle and share that moment via Facebook and Twitter.
