Watch: Kanye West and Jimmy Kimmel Settle "Rap Feud"
After Jimmy Kimmel aired a skit poking fun of Kanye West's now infamous interview with Zane Lowe of the BBC, Yeezy was, to put it mildly, not feeling it. He barraged Kimmel over Twitter, telling the Internet "JIMMY KIMMEL IS OUT OF LINE TO SPOOF THE FIRST PIECE OF HONEST MEDIA IN YEARS," along with many other semi-disparaging things in ALL CAPS.
But last night, the two buried the hatchet on public television. Yeezy appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live in a toned-down outfit (still Ralph Lauren though) and gave Kimmel a solid 30-minute interview full of usual left-of-center Yeezyisms (and even few points that made a lot of sense).
Kanye explained to Kimmel why he was so hurt by the spoof and felt the need to call him and explain his side. "I was like, 'This is the one person [talking about me in the media] that I know,' so I can go and let out everything that I feel about every single bogus weekly cover, every single bogus skit, every single rumor in a barbershop... It kind of just went and elevated from a call we had as men... We kinda just took it back to high school for a little bit."
Kanye also touched on a variety of other topics, including his relationship with Kim Kardashian, why she deserves a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and why he's not afraid to call himself a genius. Also, leather jogging pants.
In the end, the Yeezy-Kimmel beef was quashed (Kanye even smiled several times), and we got another 30-minute Kanye West interview that we can't wait to rewatch. Check out Part 1 above and Part 2 below.
