One week after asking fans to "please hold while we get our sh-t together," the Jonas Brothers have decided there is no way to collectively get their respective sh-ts together and called it quits.
Yes, Nick, Kevin and Joe are officially disbanding a little over one year after delighting fans with their unexpected return following a two-year hiatus. On Tuesday, in no uncertain terms, Kevin announced, "It's over for now."
The first hint of trouble came when the Bros of Jo suddenly canceled their upcoming fall tour, citing a "deep rift" within the band over their "musical direction."
"I was feeling kind of trapped," the youngest brother Nick told People. "I needed to share my heart with my brothers." Despite being the impetus, Joe said they were all on the same page when they decided to end it: "It was a unanimous decision."
So… will they ever reunite? "It's really hard to say 'forever,'" Nick admitted. "But we're closing a chapter, for sure."
