Longtime Taking Back Sunday fans are probably aware that frontman Adam Lazzara knows his way around a harmonica and acoustic guitar. But never before has the punk singer gone full-folk for an officially released solo track...until now. Fuse is proud to exclusively host the premiere of Lazzara's solo track "Because It Works," an energetic, expertly crafted folk-rock number from the Taking Back Sunday frontman.
"Because It Works" is Lazzara's contribution to the Our Voices EP from I Surrender Records, an upcoming comp that features original songs performed by the singers from several other punk bands such as Saves the Day, Bayside and I Am the Avalanche.
"I spend so much time with my acoustic guitar but I haven't taken the opportunity to release any of that material until now," Lazzara tells Fuse. "The bare bones for this song were written while I was living in Texas but it didn't come together until I got the offer to be on Our Voices. 'Because It Works' is as honest as can be and marks, hopefully, the first of many more to come."
