Frank Ocean Tears Vocal Cord, Cancels Tour Dates
Like Adele, Florence Welch, John Mayer and The Wanted's Nathan Sykes before him, Frank Ocean has been forced to duck out of some upcoming tour dates thanks to vocal cord issues.
"After last night's concert in Melbourne at Festival Hall, it was necessary to seek medical advice due to vocal issues Frank Ocean experienced during the show," Live Nation Australia posted on Facebook. "It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal chords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice. This makes the completion of his remaining Australian dates impossible."
That's not only bad news for Ocean but for his Aussie fans, especially since Live Nation confirms his "tight schedule" will make it impossible for him to schedule replacement dates. Although he'll assuredly return to Australia again at some point and Live Nation is, of course, refunding all tickets.
Get well soon, Mr. Ocean. We need you back ASAP.
