Kanye West Takes to the Streets to Globally Premiere New Song
Few people know how to engineer an "event" album in 2013. But leave it to Kanye West to debut new song "New Slaves" Friday night by projecting his image on 66 buildings around the world, including New York, Los Angeles, Berlin, London and Paris.
Visitors to KanyeWest.com could see maps of the cities that were debuting the new song alongside times and locations. Kanye himself tweeted earlier tonight, "NEW SONG AND VISUAL FROM MY NEW ALBUM BEING PROJECTED TONIGHT ACROSS THE GLOBE ON 66 BUILDINGS, LOCATIONS @ http://KANYEWEST.COM."
Frantic firstie fanatics immediately posted 6-second snippets of the song to Vine below, but thankfully at least one person was nice enough to shoot the whole thing and post it (vertically!) above. Knowing the marketing-savvy Kanye, maybe he's just planning on releasing the full song in a series of short Vines anyway.
Global Grind reported that late Friday night , West himself rolled up to one of the New York viewings on Fifth Avenue at the Prada store, exited his Maybach and began filming his own projection.
First, Beyonce pregnant and now this on the same day. The Illuminati is real, people. #neverforget.
