Justin Timberlake Reveals Release Date for 'The 20/20 Experience' Part 2
Mark your calendars: Justin Timberlake's mega-hyped return after a seven-year hiatus continues on September 30 with the release of another new album from Mr. JT.
The dapper pop suave broke the news on Instagram with a picture from inside the recording studio. JT's perched on a stool, strumming an acoustic guitar, but in the forefront there's a brief and exciting message: "The 20/20 Experience (2 of 2) Sept. 30th."
Bam. And the countdown begins... again.
The last time we heard about a sequel to The 20/20 Experience, JT was confirming a Questlove comment that 10 brand-spanking-new songs would surface later this year. The Roots drummer said it would be out in November, but Timberlake wouldn't confirm a release date.
The September release would come only six months after the first 20/20 installment, but after that album's monster of a debut week with 968,000 units sold, who can blame the pop star for wanting to put a rush on the follow-up... ?
Also, rumors are circulating about new JT songs featuring Jay-Z, and the two are heading out on the "Legends of Summer" tour together in July and August. Will JT debut music from The 20/20 Experience: Part II live? We can only hope.
