Lady Gaga & Tony Bennett Recording Jazz Album in June
Not even a hip injury costing her nearly $100 million in canceled tour dates will derail Lady Gaga's jazz album with Tony Bennett. The duo are planning to hit a studio in the Queens, NY 'hood of Astoria this June to record.
"Once you have an idea, then you go for it," Bennett told Rolling Stone. "We're working on it from now until June, and then we'll record in June."
The duo recorded a 2011 duet of "Lady Is a Tramp" (listen below) for Bennett's Duets II release, and this past September the 86-year-old crooner said that Mother Monster called him with a proposal to record a full album together.
"She's phenomenal," Bennett added. "I get along great with her. She's looking forward to it and so am I."
