Big Boi Announces First Tour in Two Years
Following the December release of his second solo album, Vicious Lies and Dangerous Rumors, Outkast co-founder Big Boi has announced a massive spring tour in its support. The Atlanta rapper will kick off the 45-date "Shoes for Running" trek—his first tour in more than two years!—on April 18 in his hometown. From there, he'll hit cities across North America—Philadelphia to San Francisco, Chicago to Austin—before wrapping up at Celebrate Brooklyn fest on June 20. See the full itinerary below.
The rapper told Rolling Stone that fans can expect special guests from his star-studded album—a cross-genre roster including Little Dragon, A$AP Rocky, Wavves, Kid Cudi, T.I. and others—"depending on who's in the vicinity." Killer Mike, another Vicious guest, will open all dates.
The rapper adds that his 90-minute gig will features Outkast hits, plus new Vicious jams like "CPU" and "Apple of My Eye," plus cuts like "Fo Yo Sorrows," "Shutterbug" and "Shine Blockas" from his 2010 solo debut Sir Lucious Left Foot: The Son of Chico Dusty.
"To play your music in front of the fans that love it, it's like the best feeling in the world," Big Boi said. "Just jamming out with all walks of life."
