Well, this sucks. After enduring more than a month of "chronic pain" on her Born This Way Ball Tour due to a "show injury," Lady Gaga announced she now finds herself unable to walk. As you might imagine, not being able to walk means she is also unable to dance and perform, which means Gaga has been forced to postpone several tour dates under doctor's orders.
Over a series of tweets Tuesday afternoon, Gaga broke the bad news about her "worsening" condition, which she revealed to be "synovitis" (an inflammation of the joints which can become serious if left untreated).
"I hid it from my staff, I didn't want to disappoint my amazing fans," Gaga tweeted. "However, after last night's performance I could not walk and still can't."
Bummer! But seriously, Gaga—take some time and heal yourself. We'll still be here waiting.
Gaga preemptively apologized to fans in Chicago, Detroit and Ontario for axing those shows. "I hope you can forgive me, as it is nearly impossible for me to forgive myself," she wrote. "It will hopefully heal as soon as possible, I hate this. I hate this so much. I love you and I'm sorry."
