Listen: Wu-Tang Clan Drop 'Iron Fists' Track "Six Directions of Boxing"
The Wu-Tang Clan are back, naming their new track after a 1980s martial arts film, of course. Not only is that move entirely in Wu character, it's extra fitting since the track comes from the soundtrack to RZA's directorial debut The Man With the Iron Fists. Produced by Frank Dukes, who's done tracks for Danny Brown, Lloyd Banks and 50 Cent, the track has that classic worldly/filmic/vintage Wu flavor. Now enjoy the mean flows from U-God, Ghostface Killah, GZA, Masta Killa, Cappadonna and Inspectah Deck. And tell us if you agree that the rallying cry movie sample eats Jay-Z's "are you not entertained?!" sample's lunch.
Check out the tracklist for RZA's whole Iron Fists soundtrack, which will feature many of Wu's samurais as well as Kanye West, Talib Kweli, Pusha-T and the Black Keys. Another soundtrack jam, "Black Out," featuring Ghostface Killah, M.O.P. and Pharoahe Monch, also dropped recently.
