Taylor Swift Scores 50th Billboard Hot 100 Song
Are you feeling unaccomplished today? If not, here's news that will help: According to ABC News, Taylor Swift's dubstep-infused "I Knew You Were Trouble" is the singer's 50th song to chart on the Billboard Hot 100. (That's five-zero.) Now seems like a good time to remind you that Taylor Swift is 22 years old and released her first album, Taylor Swift, only six years ago. Commence the reassessment of your life.
Even though Swift hasn't released 50 official singles (i.e. songs that got a music video), all of the previews and unofficial singles from her four albums count toward the Billboard record. The only other women who can claim the same accomplishment: Connie Francis, Dionne Warwick, Madonna and Aretha Franklin. At least all those breakups weren't in vain: excellent song fodder.
Taylor Swift's fourth studio album, Red, is out today. Sit back and watch the domination continue.
