The Rolling Stones Announce London and U.S. Tour Dates
The Rolling Stones probably didn't think they'd be announcing their 50th anniversary tour dates via YouTube when they formed five decades ago...mostly because YouTube didn't exist then. But Mick Jagger and friends are still rocking, and they're hitting the road for four nights only in honor of their jubilee celebration:
November 25 at London's O2 Arena
November 29 at London's O2 Arena
December 13 at Newark's Prudential Center
December 15 at Newark's Prudential Center
Despite the rumors, the Stones are not headed to Brooklyn. Earlier this year, it was speculated that the new Barclays Center would be hosting the band but alas, New Jersey it is. Have fun getting there, all of New York.
"Soon we'll be back onstage in two cities that know how to rock’n'roll," the "Doom and Gloom" rockers announced. "Our hometown first – London...Then across to the
east coast of America where we're playing two shows...Four gigs, four nights with the Stones…maybe a few friends joining us. See you there."
For ticket information, check out The Rolling Stones' website. Peep their tour announcement (and Keith Richards' fierce head scarf) in the video below.
