Prince, Lady Gaga May Contribute to 'The Great Gatsby' Soundtrack
Whoops. Seems like The Great Gatsby actress Adelaide Clemens let the cat out of the bag! She recently revealed that Lady Gaga and Prince are set to contribute songs to the highly-anticipated movie's soundtrack.
"They have some new music that’s going to be added to the film,” Clemens told Indiewire. ”Some pretty huge artists have approached Baz [Luhrmann, the director] and are writing songs for the film, and I don’t think Warner Bros. are going to turn down Prince and Lady Gaga knocking down your door. I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that."
Luhrmann's no stranger to including pop music in his epic films. The soundtrack to his 1996 movie Romeo + Juliet included Garbage, Everclear, The Cardigans and Radiohead while his 2001 hit Moulin Rouge! featured Christina Aguilera, Fatboy Slim, Nirvana and Beck.
The Great Gatsby hits theaters May 2013.
