Eminem Announces New Album Via Detroit Tigers Hat
In an alternate baseball universe, Detroit Tigers fans would be raucously celebrating a World Series win right now, pounding Vernors' and Jack Daniels and marveling at Justin Verlander's majestic no-hitter. Still, Eminem gave the city a little cold comfort over the weekend, announcing a new album via a "Baseball Tribute Champ Hat" offered on his website. (And hopefully adding to our 40 career-defining moments.)
Released "in honor of the big games and the hometown team's return to The D," the hat features a list of all the years Em has released an album, ending with 2013. Em's last album, Recovery, was released in 2010.
No release date or title has been announced, but now that the rapper has released Relapse and Recovery, it'll be hard to continue the whole drug cycle thing unless you go the sequel route (Still Recovering?). So yeah, Detroit. Sorry you got smacked, but at least you'll have a new Em album to commiserate with. And there's always this:
