Update: Adele (Finally!) Confirms James Bond Theme "Skyfall"
Update: After nearly a year of rumors, Adele confirmed she's performing the theme song to Skyfall, the 23rd James Bond film out on Nov. 9, via Twitter. "Skyfall" is co-written by Adele and Paul Epworth, one of the producers on her mega-blockbuster 21 album.
Adele hinted at the song last year telling British television host Jonathan Ross that she was to record a theme, adding, "Wow, that's really giving something away." She almost let the cat out of the bag when she was recently seen recording at London's famed Abbey Road studios.
The Skyfall theme will be Adele's first new music since 2011's worldwide hit 21, which scored the singer six GRAMMY awards and is likely to sell 10 million copies. Since then, we haven't heard or seen much from the "Someone Like You" singer as she's been busy makin' babies and stuff. I guess a James Bond theme song's not a bad way to make a comeback, especially considering the new film, set for release November 9, will mark the 50th anniversary of the James Bond franchise.
