Never one to shy away from overexposure, Lady Gaga has announced that her upcoming album, ARTPOP, isn't going to be a regular old album—it's going to be a "multimedia experience." Gaga took to her social media site littlemonsters.com to unveil details about the new release, and she's not afraid to completely inundate fans with all things Gaga. She wrote, "ARTPOP will be released as an iPad, iPhone, mobile and computer compatible application that is completely interactive with chats, films for every song, extra music, content, Gaga-inspired games, fashion updates, magazines, and more still in the works!"
For those traditionalists out there, no worries: ARTPOP will also be available "in the regular physical and digitals [forms] which will be unique and different to the app." No word on a vinyl release yet, but I wouldn't be surprised...
Lady Gaga also revealed another "ARTPOP Innovation," which is just a fancy way of saying she and her friends got together and made a fiber optic wig. Gaga took to YouTube to share the invention with her fans, stating the wig was inspired by "taking a Disney princess and putting her in a rave." The wig is awesome, but we were kind of distracted by Gaga's fake Madonna British accent thing she has going on. Do you just acquire one of those when you reach a certain level of fame? (All I'm saying is she used to sound like this.)
