In this edition of ICP Theater—which is just like Masterpiece Theatre, except not at all—Insane Clown Posse hunker down and watch Katy Perry's latest music video, "Wide Awake."
With their keen eye, the Detroit rappers point out similarities to Alice In Wonderland as well as other artists' music videos, from Tom Petty's "Don't Come Around Here No More" to Skrillex's "First of the Year (Equinox)." Despite being an admittedly insane clown, Shaggy 2 Dope isn't down with Katy Perry "doing violence in front of a little girl" when she punches Prince Charming toward the end of the clip.
As for Violent J, he swoons over Katy: Shockingly, he admits he bought Teenage Dream! (Though he doesn't really seem to know what songs are on it). Shaggy remains unmoved, however: "To me, she's all makeup. Don't get me wrong—she'd get it. But there's a lot more chicks I'd rather get with than her."
Sorry, Katy—if you were planning on hopping from one clown (Mr. Mayer) to another (Mr. 2 Dope) during your break from music, you may need to make other plans.

And to hear them guiltily lust over Carly Rae Jepsen (whom they refer to as Carly Simon), watch their take on "Call Me Maybe" over here. And in case you're wondering what kind of videos they do like, you can watch Insane Clown Posse review Insane Clown Posse's "Chris Benoit" video.
