From tweeting vaguely atheistic rants about the solar system to getting engaged at age 19, Miley Cyrus (the former Disney star Hannah Montana) has become a surprisingly free spirit in the music world.
But apparently that didn't prepare her legions of followers on Twitter for this radically different new 'do, a short-cropped blonde pixie cut that makes Miley look more like Robyn or Twiggy than the girl behind "Party In the U.S.A."
While some of the immediate Twitter responses fixated on the standby "you look like a boy" critique (c'mon Internet, girls needn't have long locks), it seems like Miley's followers are beginning to come to terms with this sudden change in the life of a person they've never met before.
Personally, I absolutely love this look—she looks pretty (obviously) and the mischievous happiness in her eyes is enough to win me over. Plus, her haircut has given us this hilarious Tweet:
