What Music Helped the L.A. Kings Win the Stanley Cup?
After more than 40 years as a franchise, the L.A. Kings finally lived up to their namesake last night (June 11) with a 6-1 win over the New Jersey Devils in Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals. Some of you were celebrating; others crying in their beers. The unity the team displayed last night, though, doesn't exactly carry over to their musical tastes.
In the video above, various Kings players share their favorite artists, showing off a surprisingly diverse soundtrack. Center/right wing Trevor Lewis bumps Eric Church in his car, while left wing Simon Gagne leans toward bands like Metallica. It seems that one player, though, is widely regarded as having the worst taste on the team. Find out who in the video above.
But in the interest of parity, we also spoke to the New Jersey Devils to discover what's on their iPods. Dance, country and metal are staples, but forward Dainius Zubrus runs most of the music, much to the chagrin of his team. Check it out below.
