Linkin Park Announce Tour With Incubus, Release New Single
It's been an eventful 24 hours for Linkin Park fans. The alt-metal band released "Burn It Down," the lead single from their fifth album, and they also revealed the album's title: Living Things. Now they've unveiled a deluge of North American tour dates.
This news gets even better when you take into account the fact that fellow Californian alt-rockers Incubus are opening for them on 14 out of the 16 tour dates. Rock, my friends. ROCK.
Linkin Park's tour kicks off in Virginia on August 11 and wraps up in Chula Vista, CA, on September 10. Check out the full tour dates on their website: Presale starts next Monday for you Linkin Park insiders, with the general public tickets going on sale April 28.
As for Living Things, the band recently told Spin to expect a few sonic experiments on the new album. "Some [of the new songs] sounded very electro, and a few were folk, essentially," Mike Shinoda said. You can listen to "Burn It Down" below, which is, indeed, a change of pace.
What do you think of "Burn It Down"? Does it make you excited for the fifth proper LP LP? Or are you undecided about their evolution in sound?
