As a teenager and a blonde, skeptics might be quick to write off Los Angeles rocker Diamante. But Fuse is proud to premiere the video for her new single "Bite Your Kiss" to prove everyone wrong.
The grungy, stomping rock track's visual finds the 17-year-old showcasing her throat-ripping vocals and owning the crowd. But it also shows her goofy, more personal side when she's backstage. Oh, and did we mention she's wearing a killer black-lace number throughout it all?
"What I love about this video is that people will get to see the real Diamante," she tells Fuse. "The video was not staged and hardly anything was planned or scripted—it was actually shot during two different live performances. Backstage shots were done right before we were preparing to go on stage. The pressure was high for the entire team, as there were no room for errors or retakes.
"I tried not to think about the fact that we were shooting a music video and just put everything I had into the performance for the crowd. People can see sides of me they have never seen before."
Earlier this year, Taylor Momsen became just the second female singer to hit No. 1 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Songs in 24 years with her band The Pretty Reckless. With such a boys club at rock radio, we're happy to see another young, badass female rocking her way out to the top.
