Nashville electro band Five Knives threw a big, fancy dinner party in their latest video, "Vive Le Roi," and Fuse has got the exclusive. Only instead of "black tie optional," this one's more like "crazy exorcism possible."
In the video directed by Ace Norton (Foster the People, Scissor Sisters), a young girl finds herself at the head of the table during a dinner party with an eclectic assortment of guests (to say the least). She witnesses just a bit too much of their pompous revelry and decides to lose it on them—commence the levitating and flying silverware. Things don't exactly end well.
"The video was shot inside a Los Angeles Mausoleum," Five Knives' Nathan Barlowe told Fuse. "The eerie feel of the video has as much to do with the location as it does the story line. I think Ace [Norton] captured the twisted nature of the track perfectly."
Five Knives is currently on the road as part of Warped Tour and they've previously opened for Smashing Pumpkins, Girl Talk and Die Antwoord.
Five Knives' The Rising EP is out now.
