Selena Gomez Taking Time Off Due to Lupus-Related Anxiety & Depression

Selena Gomez announces that she will be taking a break from the music industry to care for her health, PEOPLE reports. The 24-year-old pop star, who is currently in the middle of her Revival World Tour, said in a statement:

“As many of you know, around a year ago I revealed that I have lupus, an illness that can affect people in different ways. I’ve discovered that anxiety, panic attacks and depression can be side effects of lupus, which can present their own challenges."
