Fred Durst, Dave Navarro & More Cover "Ace of Spades" To Honor Lemmy
Right before we bid farewell to 2015, legendary Motörhead frontman Lemmy passed away. The dude was such an icon to metal, rock, punk--all musical worlds, really--that he went by just one name.
Musicians from all walks of life have been eulogizing the legend in their own right (Dave Grohl's speech at his funeral is particularly moving), but we know the dude loved to party, so some are celebrating the guy the only way they know how...rock and roll!
Apparently, Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst joined Royal Machines (an all-star cover band cast including Sugar Ray's Mark McGrath, Jane's Addiction's Dave Navarro, folk icon Donovan and more) to cover "Ace of Spades," Motörhead's biggest hit, over the weekend at the Viper Room in West Hollywood. The Jan. 9 cover coincided with Lemmy's live-streamed memorial service.
