Austin Mahone Goes Funky on New Single "Dirty Work"
Austin Mahone earned the biggest hit of his career with "Mmm Yeah," the Pitbull-featuring dance track that sampled Lidell Townsell's 1992 rap-dance hit "Nu Nu." For his latest single, the rising pop star continues the throwback sound, but this time looking towards '60s funk instead of '90s dance.
"Dirty Work" sees Austin bringing brassy horns and funky guitar lines over a bouncy electronic beat. At times the guitars sound a bit like the ones in Michael Jackson's "Black or White," while the beat is modern-day sexy, making it appeal to everyone from the hardcore Mahomies to MJ fans (a.k.a. every human on the planet).
